Information to print and bring at Opening

Memory can be a tricky thing…    It’s surprising how many times students show up to check in, but can’t remember their room number.   While that’s not a problem necessarily, having to hunt for things like the pin number to the bathroom on your floor is not an extra stressor you need.  As one simple step in planning for your move in on Grounds, I suggest that you print your room assignment page and bring that with you.  That will give you your room assignment, mailing address, and if applicable for your building, your bathroom code and mailbox combination.

First Year studentts should go to: https://hms.housing.virginia.edu/application/fyear/ and click “View Assignment results.”

Upperclass students should go to: https://hms.housing.virginia.edu/application/uclass/ and click “View room assignment”.

5 days left until Opening…..  See you Saturday.

John

I looked at the Housing Calendar to try to find when dorms open and close for holidays. Basically, I’d like to find out when students return to their dorms after Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break. Thank you.

The halls remain open for Thanksgiving break, which begins on wed. Nov. 24 and ends on Nov. 28. The Halls open after the semester break on Sunday, January 12th at 12:00 noon. For Spring Break, the halls remain open, but that begins on Sat. March 5th and ends on Sunday, March 13.
